Mark van Hoof appointed as Managing Director of Sealskin

Geldrop, January 18, 2018 –Mark van Hoof (50 years old) has been appointed as Managing Director of Sealskin, part of Coram International in Geldrop, as of 2 January. His appointment is a next step in Coram’s growth ambition, which focuses on innovation, strong customer orientation and a rapid response to developments in the market. Mark’s assignment is to lead Sealskin to the next phase of success.

Career at Galvano
Mark studied Commercial Economics at the Fontys Hogescholen in Eindhoven and brings a rich experience in the field of bathroom products and sanitary ware. He worked from 2001 to 2016 at Galvano, a specialist sanitary wholesaler and part of the Saint Gobain group. He held various management positions in areas such as Marketing and Purchasing, and finally became the Managing Director with final responsibility.

The Coram Group
Coram International in Geldrop is the parent company of a number of well-known international brands in showers, bathroom furniture and accessories. The group had an annual turnover of 120 million euros in 2016 and has around 625 employees. The Geesa, Sealskin and Tiger brands are sold through various channels, both at home and abroad. Geesa operates with its own production company from Amersfoort in the international specialist trade and hospitality segment (hotels and cruise ships). Sealskin has its office and warehouse in Waalwijk and markets its products in the specialist trade and DIY segment. Tiger operates primarily in the DIY segment from Geldrop. The sales organizations in Overpelt (Belgium), Nettetal (Germany) and Warsaw (Poland) and Hagan (Norway) represent the aforementioned brands. The latter also carries its own Esbada brand. Coram’s subsidiary Antado in Gdansk (Poland) manufactures high-quality bathroom furniture that is sold under the Tiger label. Products for Tiger and Sealskin are distributed from Coram Logistics, the central warehouse in Overpelt (Belgium). In the United Kingdom, Coram is active in the care segment with Impey Showers, and with Coram Showers and Shower Pods in the specialist trade with showers and shower cabins.

Coram strives to be a significant player in the sanitary industry in Western Europe. The Coram brands play an important, distinctive role in positioning within the professional retail trade, DIY (DIY) and E-commerce channels.
